I am drawn to light and dark tones, which makes a painting come to life. I am always searching to capture this in my work.
A luminous moon rises over a quiet meadow, casting a soft silvery glow across a field of delicate wild grasses and seed heads. Layers of cool blues, gentle lavenders and misty whites creates depth and movement as if the meadow is swaying softly in the evening air. Light dances across the textured surface catching the tops of the flowers and grasses as they reach towards the moonlit sky. The darker tones below fade into shadow giving the impression of standing in the meadow itself, looking out towards the distance horizon. Dreamlike and serene, the painting captures the peaceful magic of nature at night.
