Woodlands are beautiful at all times of the year. That's why I love them. The seasons are so apparent. During the winter months the light is dramatic and the colours are subdued. I worked on this piece over a number of days building up the layers with oil paint and cold wax to create the matt surface. The edges are painted Paynes grey and this piece is ready to hang.
