This seascape is inspired by the marine layer over the California coast in spring. The focus is on a single cloud over the beach. The white in the sky is balanced with the white waves. The color palette is soft and soothing - gray, taupe, brown and aqua with lots of white are applied with expressive brushstrokes and blended layers of paint on a richly textured canvas.
