When I painted this, I wanted to capture that feeling of just staring at the ocean until everything else disappears. I’m fascinated by how the water is never truly still. I used deep teals and dark blues to show the weight of the sea, but those bright white splashes are my favorite part - they represent that tiny, flickering moment when the sun hits a wave just right. To me, this piece is about finding a bit of peace in the middle of a deep, moving tide.
