Silent Visitor (2026) Original Oil Painting by Lilith Gurekhian

60 x 90 x 2cm / 60 x 90cm (actual image size)

£2,151.52

This painting is about a moment suspended between two realities.

The figure on the right is not trapped by a cage, but by a silence of her own making. The blue does not surround her from the outside—it rises from within.

The cage is almost invisible, existing only as long as she chooses to remain inside it.
The “Silent Visitor” resembles an unspoken thought made visible.

It arrives quietly, neither to save nor to interrupt, but simply to exist.

They never meet each other's gaze. Some encounters are too powerful to survive direct contact.
Neither of them moves.

Because movement would change everything.

And the strangest part is that her cage was never locked.
This visit changes nothing—like all important things.
It simply occurs, almost unnoticed,
and leaves behind a feeling that perhaps something has shifted—
but so subtly that it can no longer be proven.
