When creating this painting, I wanted to capture a quiet and intimate moment of everyday life by contrasting the warmth of an interior space with the grandeur of the landscape outside. The foreground features a wooden table with coffee and bread, accompanied by flowers and the window frame, creating a sense of closeness and daily life, while the viewer’s gaze is naturally guided toward the lake and the distant mountains.
I used expressive and loose brushstrokes to render the mountains and sky, allowing light to move freely across the landscape and reflect on the water. The foreground is painted with richer and warmer tones to create depth and spatial contrast. Through the interplay of cool and warm colors and shifting light, I aimed to evoke the peaceful, poetic feeling of a sunlit morning by the window.
