Original artwork description:

When creating this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of “solitude in weightlessness under water.” Water is both a symbol of suffocation and purification. I depicted the figure drifting in the deep blue, her body open yet powerless, as if suspended between life and death, reality and dream. The glowing white dress represents the final glimmer of hope and the purity of the soul.

Technically, I used interwoven cool and warm shades of blue to convey the depth and pressure of the water. By contrasting the dark background with areas of brightness, I created visual tension. The brushwork of the folds in the dress blending with the water emphasizes fluidity and transparency, giving the composition a breathing rhythm.

Materials used:

Acrylic
