Original artwork description
A wonderful day spent in a communal kitchen, in a place alive with vibrant colour and enticing smells, a place surrounded by friendship and warmth and community. We cooked all morning, amidst huge cauldrons of bubbling curry, with scents of coriander, ginger, and turmeric, the magical fragrance of baking and of flatbreads thrown onto the griddle. I wanted to capture the colour of the clothes, the vivid orange and yellow. It is a small work, full of life and character. A wonderful gift, a perfect addition to a collection.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
