This work was done with a ballpoint pen on office paper A4 which is glued with tape. I deliberately use the simplest and most non-artistic materials. I want to emphasize the lightness, simplicity, accessibility and illusion of contemporary art.
The work evokes a sense of a multi-layered, almost fabric-like consciousness—as if the image were woven from intersecting streams of thought and sensation. Repeating arcs and overlapping planes create a rhythm in which the eye wanders, losing its fixed point of reference.
The central “eyes” suddenly capture the viewer’s gaze, transforming the abstraction into something observant, alive. A duality emerges: on the one hand, a decorative, almost ornamental structure; on the other, a hidden figure, a mask, or a creature emerging from the chaos of lines.
This work consists of individual sheets of A4 paper, which are glued together with adhesive tape. Along the gluing line, the picture can be bent and folded like an accordion, like a brochure. I am using this opportunity to mail this picture. When you receive this picture, it will be folded like a brochure A4. The picture must be expanded and placed in a graphic frame. This can be easily done by yourself or in any baguette studio.
