I captured this image on the Tuscan coast as a storm was beginning to rise. What interested me was not the storm itself, but the subtle, fleeting moment when the sea starts to tremble and lose its stillness.

The composition moves toward abstraction, with a softened horizon and a blurred surface shaped by motion rather than detail. Muted greens, pale blues, and diffused light create a quiet, atmospheric palette where sea and sky almost merge.

In this work, I wanted to explore the profound beauty of transition.

We often categorize the "serene" as positive and the "storm" as negative, yet there is an extraordinary vitality in the threshold between the two. This state of becoming—where quietude shifts into turbulence—is a moment of immense fascination and mysterious energy.
It is not a precursor to destruction, but a pulse of pure life, stimulating and vital.

For me, Shiver of the Sea reflects a sense of fragility and inner tension, serving as a metaphor for the human experience. It portrays those delicate emotional states where we find ourselves poised between calm and unrest.
It suggests that our own moments of transition, though uncertain and mysterious, are not to be feared, but embraced as periods of intense transformation.
