This work was created by painting about 300 meters of acrylic yarn.


"Not Your Doll" - "I am not your doll"- are a pieces in which I aim to depict female faces featuring traits reminiscent of classic dolls. The underlying message is this: "Even if I look exactly like a doll, I am not a doll—not *your* doll—nor am I here for you to do with as you please." This encompasses everything that lies behind such assumptions, extending—unfortunately—even to the realm of violence.

This female portrait is a fascinating work of "Yarn Art" created by painting simple vertical threads and transforming them into a vivid, evocative image where every single strand contributes to shaping volumes, light, and shadow.
The face, possessing a magnetic allure, emerges with striking intensity thanks to its piercing blue eyes and vibrant red lips, while the skin and hair are rendered with a unique texture that calls to mind an artistic glitch or a contemporary tapestry. The contrast between the rigid verticality of the threads and the expressive softness of the face creates a captivating dialogue between technique and emotion. Each thread captures the light, softens the features, and compels the viewer's gaze to focus.

N.B. - This painting can also be hung using the reverse side, resulting in a mirror-image effect. This occurs because the threads absorb the color and transfer it to the back as well, thus allowing the image to emerge on the reverse side as well.

This makes it as if they were two paintings in one...!!!

I use DHL/UPS courier: European shipping arrives in 24/48 hours; International shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. A few days of delay can be caused by customs clearance at the borders.

Different light sources can give different colours on the photos.
Sizes can be slightly different as I prepare the wooden frame myself, pull the canvas and spread it by fixing it on the frame.
