Original artwork description
Shards of Grace is an abstract mixed media piece created on natural wood panel, where the raw texture of the surface becomes an integral part of the narrative. Ballerinas are subtly etched and burned into the wood using pyrography, their forms emerging like fleeting memories on a dimly lit stage it explores the tension between control and collapse, beauty and burn, inviting viewers into a space where fragility becomes fierce.
Layers of spray paint and acrylic introduce bold colour dynamics and expressive gestures, while metallic paint adds subtle luminosity that shifts under changing light. The result is a richly layered composition that merges the warmth of natural materials with the energy of modern abstraction.
