For more than 500 days, the terror has continued and the question that constantly arises, perhaps naive and childish, is why the world simply continues to watch? Even watching is already tired.

When I was recently in Kyiv, after a few days I adopted the local "vibe" - going to bed after reading about rocket launches. Because there are several hours of sleep before anxiety. But this is not the norm.
And how strange it is to read the schedule according to which the next, daily, portion of missiles and drones will arrive in which city - as if it is a schedule of electric trains, and not an ugly "Russian roulette" that destroys someone's life every time. It is so strange that in the modern world everything is already known - the flight number and the deadly cargo, all the names and positions, the place and time of departure, the model of the plane and the location of the missile carrier. But it just keeps happening, every day.

Back in 1962, the artist Harry Anderson painted the picture "Jesus knocks on the UN". In another sleepless night, I went to the UN website to read the charter of this organization. In today's reality, he looks not just funny, but even cynical.

The words of this charter are carved on the picture. So many empty words.

This is the first of a series of 9 works "Words" that illustrate the events in Ukraine and on which the words of the UN slogan are carved.

The paper is stretched on a stretcher, the edges of the artwork are painted. The painting is ready to hang and does not need a frame.
