"Serendipity Glade" was inspired by peaceful walks through the woodland near my home, bathed in the golden light of summer. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows and illuminating the forest floor with shifting patterns. The woods are beautiful and the painting suggests that liminal space between reality and imagination. Filled with the scent of wildflowers and a calming stillness in the air, soft gold tones and delicate plays of light come together in a tapestry of serenity. There is renewal, an atmosphere reminiscent of forest bathing, bringing that tranquil energy to any space.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, created using acrylic paints on a deep-edged canvas. My process begins with time spent observing the location, making sketches and taking reference photographs. Back in the studio, I lay down the first layers with a brush, then build up rich textures using impasto techniques and a palette knife. The result is a contemporary painting that exists in the space between abstraction and realism. The painting continues around the edges of the canvas, framing is not needed, it arrives ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity and is protected with a layer of varnish.
