White and beige II (2025) Original Oil Painting by Maja Gajewska

90 x 110 x 2cm / 90 x 110cm (actual image size)

£1,378.85

An oil painting measuring 110x90 cm. Exhibited at a solo show at Vivid Gallery in Wrocław (2026).
A modern painting seemingly reminiscent of an abstract landscape. In fact, for me it is a sublime play of colors, planes and lines that sometimes disappear and other times set a boundary. The painting is dominated by white, beige and gray, with brown accents complementing the whole. What is important is what the viewer first captures, as he can allow himself unlimited freedom of interpretation. The delicate colors perfectly match the atmospheric bedroom or living room.

This is the essence of a mature structural minimalism. By deliberately paring back the color palette, the artist strips the space of the anecdotal and the narrative. She leaves the viewer to engage with the pure, vibrant substance of the painting, thereby opening up a space for deep contemplation, meditation, and a personal quest for harmony in a world of sensory overload.
