Original artwork description:

Secret Agent is a painting inspired by the pulp detective magazines that were popular from 1930s to the 1950s. Jane has created a surreal painting by appropriating a 1950s cover of a woman firing a gun and placing her against a background of swirling giant sea anemones. The viewer is left to interpret the painting as they choose, but the underwater aquarium with giant sea anemones is reminiscent of a James Bond movie.
Jane is a well-known Brisbane artist who has been finalist for Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award, and Stanthorpe Art Prize. She has also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries. Her paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
