This work emerges from my daily contemplation of the Mediterranean Sea — the vast, ever-changing element beside which I live, and which has become a constant source of inspiration. Here, the sea is not merely a landscape but a living presence, a breath of the space I inhabit, a memory of light, wind, and a horizon that is never the same.
The painting continues my series “Windows with a View,” where the sea has always appeared as a promise of freedom and a realm of dreaming, seen through the frame of a window. But here, the frame disappears. The view is finally released from its boundary. There is no longer a separation between the interior and the exterior — the sea enters the viewer’s space directly, as if one steps beyond the room and meets the landscape face to face.
This is the moment when the gaze escapes its familiar outlines and encounters the world as a living presence. The cliffs, the sky, the movement of the waves — everything becomes an extension of an inner state. This work is about dissolving borders, merging with the place that has become home, and learning to see not through a window, but through an open, endless horizon.
