This painting is inspired by the form of a banana leaf, a symbol of both nature’s resilience and everyday life in urban and village landscapes. I painted it using only a palette knife, allowing colors to emerge in bold, textured strokes that mirror the veins and layers of the leaf itself.
The turquoise sky flows through the work as a backdrop, carrying both calm and openness. The greens shift into blues, violets, and warm yellows, reflecting the ever-changing moods of weather—sunlight, shade, rain, and renewal. For me, this piece is about life’s transitions, how simplicity and complexity meet, and how nature continues to thrive amidst human presence.
