Seascape-Light Falling Beyond the Water (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Tatiana Malinovscaia

I created this painting as an exploration of reflected light and open atmospheric space — a moment where pale color, layered texture, and depth dissolve into a calm emotional landscape.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I developed the composition through multiple textured layers using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Shades of pale blue, lavender, ivory, soft beige, charcoal, white, black, and warm ochre create movement, contrast, and luminous depth while preserving a refined contemporary atmosphere.

The composition is centered around a reflective open space where light appears to spread gently across the surface. Darker passages anchor the painting visually, while soft lavender and silver-blue tones introduce openness and subtle atmospheric movement. Layered textures, expressive marks, scraped passages, and delicate drips create rhythm and material richness throughout the canvas.

I wanted this work to feel expansive yet intimate — like standing before endless reflective water touched by changing light. The textured surface responds beautifully to natural and artificial light, revealing delicate nuances of pale blue, lavender, ivory, charcoal, and warm ochre throughout the day.

This large abstract seascape painting is designed as statement wall art for modern interiors.
