This is a view of Saxe Coburg Street in the wonderful part of Edinburgh known as Stockbridge. Seen here from Gabriels Road, Saxe Coburg Street leads into or off Saxe Coburg Place which is a wonderful Georgian Edinburgh New Town Crescent, one which I have painted a few times.
I was struck by the intense evening sunlight which made the stonework glow a lovely golden colour.
