I don’t paint artworks…
In fact, I feel that I rather tell stories; mine, yours… and these stories are triggered by a remote memory, from an old rediscovered book, an obsessive tune, a poem or a game that belongs to childhood. That child inside me asks for a story… and I write him one! Not with words, but with my color palette, using the energy of my brushes and all the passion in my soul.
Salomé's painting is my personal take on the biblical myth of Salomé and her famous seductive dance of the seven veils. A story of seduction and conspiracy, of kings and martyrs and heads served on a silver plate, executed in a semi-abstract style that displays the elements of the story in a playful composition.
