In creating this semi-abstract city nightscape, I did not aim to represent specific streets or buildings, but to capture the emotional energy of a city after dark. Deep reds and dark tones form the weight of the night, while lighter areas and splattered marks suggest scattered lights flickering through the urban space. By layering thick paint with a palette knife, I build a textured surface that allows the city to feel alive—moving and breathing within the night rather than standing still.
