An unusual panoramic view from the top of the escarpment at Lowther, Penrith in the Lake District. I was captivated by this view which was very difficult to recreate back home in the studio. I had taken lots of photographs and a short film to help me and I have used a far bit of artistic license to achieve the feeling of freedom and awe I felt from this spectacular vista.
