'Ruach' is a Hebrew word which means spirit, creation and wind. In Genesis, the word is used to describe the spirit which hovers over the waters, from which all things were created. For those that believe in a force of nature, it is the same essence: a power of creation which is dynamic.
Standing on mountain tops, one has a feeling of immense energy - thus the loose and gestural brushwork.
