Golden Eagle of the Pyrénées Regional Catalan Natural Park.
This is the sixth in my series of paintings of the regional wildlife here in the Pyrénées Orientale,France. I started the series last year which I'm gradually painting as the opportunity arises. The background view is based upon photos I took while hiking within the natural reserve,with the emblematic Canigou mountain in the far background.
