A handsome young Royal Bengal Tiger, his gaze fixed on you, lounging in dappled sunlight, which was inspired by my sighting of these beautiful creatures in the wild.I painted this scene with the intension of projecting him out of the painting by using specific surrounding colours, and the subtle use of light and shade.

Please note,I choose to paint on heavyweight water colour paper,as it suits my style of painting. Also, once my paintings are framed behind glass they are protected from atmospheric grime for life, unlike oil paintings that can accumulate grime which dulls the colours over a period of time.
