My inspiration came from the wild waves generated after storm surges in the Pacific ocean in southern California. On these days the surfers stay away and the beach is taken over by photographers and others like me seeking inspiration or the thrill of watching the big waves. This painting is textured, has strong color contrasts. Abstraction and the use of knife for the painting makes it possible to represent the experience more dramatically.My art is a reflection of all things going on around me.
