"Roses - Abstract Red" is a palette knife oil impressionistic flower painting made in 2020. This is an original oil painting on a 50 x 60 cm linen canvas. Painted with high quality oil paints, a brush and a palette knife creating a textured canvas (an impasto).
This artwork was inspired by the blooming garden roses and painted from nature on a "plein air". I wanted to transfer the beauty of this red and yellow flower and the freshness of its color.
