In this small impressionist painting, the colours and lights dance on the canvas, while a small rose bush with intense red blossoms takes centre stage. The scene takes place in the middle of a lush green garden bed, flooded with golden rays of sunlight. The red flowers of the bush glow in the sun like small fires. The green leaves, which are streaked with bright reflections of light, sway in the gentle summer breeze and form a picturesque contrast to the bright red of the flowers.
