Original artwork description
The canvas depicts a brown calf wearing a black burlesque top hat with red and black flowers on it. The young cow is shown in a grassy field with a pond and trees in the background. There is a bond between a cow's name and appearance. Calf's name is Rosalie and her hat is decorated with roses. The park with a pond in the background is in Taurage, Lithuania, my homeland. The fancy hat associates me with a carnival of Rosenmontag in Mainz, Germany where I actually live. So two European cultural environments are interwoven in the picture, also with a touch of nostalgia, tranquility and serenity, personalised in the image of a cow.
