I was recently at an exhibition featuring some of my work. The friend I was with said the artwork reminded her of 'Rorschach' - ('The Rorschach test is a psychological test in which the subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analysed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both.')

Now, here's one thing I take away from that, one similarity that I love... it is the viewer's 'instant' reaction that determines if they like, love, hate or are indifferent to the art. And because 'every' single person looking at the work has a different degree of emotional response to the piece and I, as an artist, cannot control that... I can simply get on and paint what I want to and not have to worry about what others might think.

Oh, and the work is done using... ink.
