Acrylic painting depicting an evening roofscape looking over a bay on the Isle of Skye (Scotland)
This painting is loosely based on a scene I remember one evening at Portree whilst walking down towards the pier.
As with most of my recent paintings the background light on the water is created by glazing over the original picture then quickly removing parts to hopefully reveal shafts of light.
This painting is on slightly thicker canvas than I usually use and I have used some texture medium in the foreground along the beachfront.
The painting has been given two coats of protective varnish.
