While creating this piece, I aimed to convey the balance and tranquility of Venice — a city that, despite the noise of tourists, always keeps its silence and meditative rhythm. “Purple Sun” symbolizes the moment of equilibrium between reality and dream, when light, water, and architecture merge into a harmonious flow. It’s an invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and find your own sense of peace without leaving your space.

Creative process and materials
Using textures to recreate the reflections of water, aged plaster, and the feeling of ancient stone, this painting was made with a layered technique that alternates wiping and glazing to achieve depth and atmosphere.
