While creating this piece, I aimed to capture the warm, enchanting atmosphere of a Roman evening. The dome of St. Peter’s Basilica glows in the sunset, standing majestically in the distance, while the cozy café setting in the foreground invites a moment of quiet reflection. This contrast between the grandeur of history and the intimacy of everyday life was the emotional core I wanted to convey.

I used a palette of warm oranges and purples to evoke the fading light of dusk, blending soft transitions to create a sense of depth. The plush red velvet seating, flickering candlelight, and rich textures of the coffee and pastry all contribute to a sense of comfort and timelessness. My brushwork combines detail with an impressionistic softness, allowing the viewer to feel both grounded in reality and touched by a sense of dreamlike serenity. I wanted the viewer to not just see, but feel the stillness of that perfect, fleeting moment.
