Painted en plein air on the Mendocino coast, this piece captures the fresh, breezy spirit of a sunny day at the beach surrounded with rocky cliffs.
Cook’s Beach landscape, located about two miles north of the town of Gualala, is classic Sonoma and Mendocino County coastline– flat, nearly treeless headlands overlooking a broad wind-protected sandy beach with dramatic ocean views.
