Oil on linen 55x42x2cm (21.6x16.6in) 2021, ready to hang. Commission, Private collection, Vigevano, IT.
“Roby” is a painting of a dancer which was commissioned by the relatives of the woman portraited and given to her as a Christmas present. Me and the commissioners defined the project and worked toghether on the sample: we decided to put beside the classic half-length portrait an image of the woman dancing, her passion and main activity. I chose a bright pink for the background because it matches the colours of the skin and gives the portrait a fresh and feminine touch. The painting technique is accurate but expressive. The skin of the portrait is very matheric and bright.
