Original artwork description
I painted this road to the Dniester as a path to silence, to a place where the land meets the water and a man meets his own thoughts. I was inspired by the living movement of nature: the curve of the trail, the breath of the wind in the treetops, and the calm surface of the river in the distance. I sought to capture not the exact landscape, but its mood—changeable, like the light in a cloudy sky. Every brushstroke here was born quickly and boldly, as if I were trying to catch a fleeting moment before it disappeared. In the rich texture of the paint, I left the energy of my hands, my temperament, and the inner rhythm of my heart. The trees on the left are like living guardians of this road, keeping its secret and its memory. The bright waters of the Dniester in the distance sound in the painting like a pause, like a breath, like a promise of peace. I mixed cool and warm shades to show the struggle between light and shadow, movement and stillness, strength and softness. This road leads the eye into the distance, and with it the thoughts, awakening memories and dreams. When I look at this canvas, I see not just a landscape, but a living story about freedom, the journey, and the eternal beauty of nature.
