These old houses are at the side of the Salaison river in the south of France. I first made sketches and a watercolour as studies to realise this work on a linen canvas. I was interested in the reflections of houses and boats in the water and in the contrasting colours between the sunlit houses and the trees behind them. This oil is ready to hang. It can be framed on request.
