The warm river runs in a protected nature reserve, close to where I reside in rural France. The quaint bridge allows easy access to follow the path along the other side. It is close to an old Roman Gaul site, and on occasion I have caught sight of a resident kingfisher.
It is painted on canvasboard (canvas attached to a rigid board backing) and painted in an impressionist manner, with multiple layers of drybrush technique.

Materials used:

Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
