Original artwork description
The color palette of this work is limited but effective, using primarily black and lighter tones such as gray and pale pink. The central rectangle is made of a thick texture of paint and acts as a window through which a snaking black ribbon passes, four pieces of which are located outside the format, glued to its sides. The irregular edges of the window add an organic feel to an otherwise highly structured composition. There is a visual tension created by the placement of the form inside and outside the format, which interact in an elliptical fashion.
