In this work of mine, I fused oils and watercolors to capture a sense of metaphysical and surrealist wonder. The rhino, no longer gray and earthly, is revealed in a bold shade of purple, a symbol of magic and mystery. Flying butterflies surround him, bringing lightness and transformation, while he is immersed in a field of flowers that root the scene in natural beauty. This painting is an invitation to free the imagination, to seek the extraordinary in everyday life and to allow the imagination to invade and enrich the grayness of reality.
