This sculpture is a unique interpretation of the 1970's vintage rotary dial telephone. Made from copper wire for the main body and copper coloured aluminium wire for the telephone cord. It can be displayed on a table and or wall, with the handset on or off. A great quirky nod to this classic design.
As with all my three dimensional sculptures the negative space (the spaces between the wire) hold as much importance as the rest of the artwork and encourages the viewer to recognise this space as part of the artwork.
Different gauges of copper wire and aluminium for the telephone cord.
