Original artwork description:

I have painted this scene a few times, the evocative, nostalgic, 1960s feel of this empty and disused subway car. I imagine it hurtling through dark tunnels, under cities. It is grand, clunky, substantial; the seats smell of old upholstery and faux leather, and I wish the train would take me back in time. An unusual work and a perfect addition to any collection.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.

Materials used:

acrylic and card
