Original artwork description
A small parcel of a vanishing Soho, a place of lino floors and neon strip light, stairways of faded, threadbare carpet leading to floors of seedy secrets, a hint of damp and stale nicotine. Retro signs beckon with a promise of films, books and guilt. In the upper floors, net curtains are drawn, and I have used collage to create a sense of passing time. This work is evocative and unusual. It is rich in detail, colorful and cheerful, a wonderful addition to any collection of British art. Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished
