Retro Funicular in Kyiv. Ukraine is part of my series reimagining Kyiv as it appeared a century ago. This painting celebrates the charm of the city’s historic funicular — a beloved symbol connecting the upper and lower parts of old Kyiv. I sought to revive the nostalgic atmosphere of a city full of grace and quiet beauty that time has since transformed.

Created in 2019, the artwork is painted with oil on canvas, measuring 100 x 100 cm. The sides are painted, so it’s ready to hang without the need for framing. The painting was exhibited at my solo show “Kyiv, Which Is No Longer There”, and is signed on both the front and back. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
