I painted this study en plein air in France in a small town called Bagnoles de L'orne. It was a warm spring day then, and the sun was enveloping everything around with a pleasant warm haze. Behind the bridge over the lake, the pleasant architecture of a small restaurant pleased the eye. I made a study with oil paints on canvas - pleasant memories of that day.
