This work centers on an inward gaze. The face is lifted, eyes closed, caught between tension and release. It was inspired by observing moments of silence when the body holds emotion without words. The figure does not represent a specific person. It reflects an inner state shaped by memory, pressure, and resilience.

I used acrylic on canvas to build dense layers and strong contrasts. The blue tones of the figure suggest introspection and containment, while the red background creates a sense of intensity and surrounding force. Texture plays a key role. Scratched and built-up surfaces echo traces of experience carried by the body.

The style moves between figuration and expression, allowing the face to remain readable while the surface stays open and raw. I hope viewers feel a pause and sense the emotional weight held within the form. The work invites reflection rather than explanation. It comes ready to hang and is finished with a protective varnish to preserve color and texture.
