Visiting Sedona, Arizona, in the southwestern United States had an enormous influence on my art. The power and majesty of the rocks and mountains are breathtaking. This large acrylic is based on the memory of that visit. The red rocks and multi-colored strata glistened from a recent rain, and on the horizon, rain clouds colored the sky in various grays and whites. Painting from memory is a technique I use to capture sense of feeling in a place, and this piece was created based on my memory of the various formations and colors.
The painting is finished with a satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust. The work is sold unframed, so that you can select the frame to match your style or decor.
The artwork comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Thank you for looking and considering a purchase of my art.
