Water lilies have their place in my idyllic landscape, which I recompose on canvas in different chromatic shades and compositions as if I were traveling and my steps would stop in gardens with ponds or fountains arranged and populated with water lilies and aquatic creatures, over which dragonflies, birds and other insects would fly that seem to defy reality.
This time the floating waterscape is full of bold red and orange waterlilies blossoms that emerge from a tapestry of deep purples, bright greens, and blues, suggesting the reflective surface of water. The impasto technique creates a textured, almost sculptural quality, enhancing the lively interplay of light and shadow. Splatters of white and black paint add a spontaneous energy, evoking the movement of water and the delicate dance of nature.
