Red Tulip Study I (2026) Original Watercolour by Yuliia Prokopchuk

25 x 25 x 0.1cm (unframed) / 10 x 15cm (actual image size)

£252.99

This series of watercolor tulips was inspired by a bouquet that stayed in my studio for several days, filling the space with its delicate, sweet fragrance. I found myself returning to these flowers again and again, observing how each bloom раскрывается по-своему, revealing its own rhythm, character, and moment of life.

Painted from life, each work captures a slightly different stage of the tulip — from a more gathered, inward form to a fully open, expressive bloom. I was especially drawn to the depth of red tones and the subtle transitions of color within each petal, where warmth, light, and shadow create a sense of quiet movement.

This series is about attention and presence — about slowing down and truly seeing a simple, fleeting moment of beauty. Each painting can exist on its own, yet together they form a gentle visual dialogue, making them ideal as a pair or a complete set.

This artwork is ideal for collectors who appreciate botanical subjects, fine detail, and a contemplative approach to nature.

My work is a unique and original handmade piece.

It is painted on high-quality, 100% cotton paper specially made for watercolor by the world’s best manufacturers, with a density of 300 grams per square meter. I also use the finest professional paints in my work.
